Cassandra Ventura (born August 26, 1986), most known as her entertainer name Cassie, is an American singer, model, and an occasional actress. Cassie was born in New London, Connecticut, and moved to NYC, U.S.A. after graduating high school to continue her music & modeling career. After being introduced to producer Ryan Leslie, she was signed to his music-media company, NextSelection. Leslie wrote and produced Cassie's first single, "Me & U", which became a super hit in 2006.

She is part of a collective of producers and writers known as The Clutch.
